Locate the File’s Details

If you want to locate the file’s details, you need to follow the steps given below.

  • Get started by locating the file you would like to delete.
  • After that, you have to right click on that file.
  • Then you should click on “Properties from the drop-down menu section.
  • Thereafter, you should check the file of the file extension.
  • You should view the three or four extensions in the “Type of file” field.
  • Now, you have to copy the location.

Write the Batch File

You need to write the batch file. Here are the instructions are given below.

  • First, you have to click on the Windows Start logo on your device.
  • After that, you should go to the search bar.
  • Then you have to enter “notepad” into the search bar.
  • Later, you have to add the command of “Change Directory.”
  • You should input in “cd” and hit the spacebar key.
  • Thereafter, you should paste the address.
  • Now, you have to type the “Delete” command.
  • After that, you should type the file’s name and extension quotation marks.
  • Then you should upload more files names.

Save and Execute the Batch File

If you want to save and execute the batch file, you need to follow the steps given below.

  • To begin with, click on the file of the Notepad screen.
  • After that, you have to click on “Save As” from the drop-down menu.
  • Then you should type the file name that you wish to with the Batch extension.
  • Thereafter, you have to click on “Save as type” from the drop-down menu.
  • Now, you should click on “All Files.”
  • After that, you should choose a location.
  • Then click on “Save.”
  • Running the batch file will permanently delete the files.
  • Thereafter, you should run the Batch file.

Delete a Folder of One File Type

You need to delete a folder of one file type. Here are the instructions given below.

  • Determine the purpose of this process.
  • Go to the folder that you wish to remove.
  • You have to understand the extension for the files that you wish to remove by following this process.
  • You should right-click on that file you wish to remove.
  • Then you have to click on “Properties.”
  • Go to the “type of file” section and check the section.
  • Thereafter, you have to copy the folder’s link.
  • Click on the Windows Start logo on our device.
  • After that, you should type notepad into the search bar.
  • You should enter cd and hit the spacebar.
  • Then you have to hit on control + V to paste the address.
  • Hit on “Enter” key to delete command.
  • You can add additional file types if required.
  • Now, you can save the file as a Batch file by following this process.
  • You should click on “File.”
  • Then click on the Save As option.
  • You should put a name of your file by adding “.Bat” into the “File name” section.
  • Then you have to click on “Save as type” box and click on “All Files.”
  • Thereafter, you should choose the save location from the left pane and click on Save.

Clear a Folder of All Files

If you want to clear a folder of all files, you need to follow the steps given below.

  • First, you have to the right-click on that folder you wish to delete.
  • After that, click on “Properties” from the drop-down menu.
  • Then you should copy the location of the folder.
  • Thereafter, you should go to the Notepad on your device.
  • You should enter cd and hit the spacebar then paste the folder’s address.
  • You should run the command to remove all files without confirmation.
  • You can save your file as a Batch file by following this method.
  • Click on File option.
  • After that, you should click on “Save As.”
  • Then you should name your Batch file along with “.bat” into the “File name” section.
  • Thereafter, you have to click on “Save as type” and then click on “All Files.”
  • Now, choose the save location from the left pane and then click on Save.

Enter the batch file when required.
